At Home Chemical Peels

Note: Please do not attempt to do these peels at home if you arent sure what you are doing or haven't read my instructions. You can burn your skin. I suggest doing a test patch to see how your skin reacts first. I am not responsible for any damage you might do to yourself.

If you are interested in a chemical peel to help get rid of acne scars, sun spots, broken capillaries or even fine lines then read below. These are super easy to do and will save you a ton of cash.  I like using Makeup Artist Choice lines of chemical peels because they dont have to be neutralized and are very gentle.

I really like Glycolic Acid because I havent had a bad reaction to it and its pretty gentle compared to other types of acid. You can choose any type of acid you want though. Just be sure to do your research online first.

1. Start with 20% Glycolic Acid
2. Do a test patch on your skin for 1-2 minutes to see how it reacts.
3. If there is no redness or burning then you can continue on to do the peel.
4. Cleanse the area thoroughly.
5. Put some prepping solution onto a cotton ball or a cotton swab.
6. Apply the prepping solution wherever you want to do the peel.
7. Let the area dry completely.
8. Put some glycolic acid onto a cotton ball or a cotton swab.
9. Apply the glycolic acid wherever you want to do the peel but make sure not to apply to any open wounds or skin that has been waxed within 24 hours. Also, dont get too close to your eyes either.
10. Leave the acid on for no more than 2-3 minutes. If you feel a slight stinging that is ok. If it's really burning or you are in pain then rinse off immediately.
11. When you are finished witht the peel, wash the skin with lukewarm water.
12. Pat your face dry and then apply a good moisturizer.
13. You can repeat this process weekly and continue to up the time but do not exceed 10-12 minutes at the most. You can move up to 30%, 40%, 50%, etc, if you desire better results. The stronger the acid the more at risk you will be for peeling.
14. DO NOT EXPOSE YOUR FACE TO SUN FOR 24 HOURS without applying sunscreen first.

As far as foundation goes I like 2 types.
I love all MAC products but MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation is one of the best.  It is good for acne prone skin as well.
It delivers a flawless finish that will last all day long. This stuff is better if you have normal to oily skin.

Blemish Therapy - If you are like me and tend to break out alot then try Rare Minerals Blemish Therpay.
Its the only stuff that works almost instantly for me. It contains 3% sulfur and will dry up that blemish in less tha a day. Some people say the sulfur has a strong smell when you first open the container but it goes away.
The trick with this stuff is to wash the affected area and then pat a decent amount on it. Try not to put anything over it. It does conceal decently well but if you are darker complected you will notice it.

They often have the best deals for just about everything. To get the best price what I do is I search for the item and then below the item you will see something that says '36 new or 31 used'. Many times you can buy the item through a seller on amazon and get it at least a few bucks cheaper.
For example: Heart - Red Velvet Car.
Amazon price = 8.63. Other sellers price = 6.49. Used = 4.29.

Also if you buy something on amazon and it goes on sale all you have to do is call and tell them which item and they will credit your account. Its that simple. 
Note: You can call them more than once too if the item keeps dropping lower in price.

Best Buy
If you are at Best Buy and you see something you want to buy, check out their website first. Many times Best Buy will offer their items online cheaper than in the store. I found this out when we bought a new Sony Cybershot Digital Camera. It was about $250 in the store but I was able to get it on the website for $226 and it came with a free 4gb memory card. Also you can choose to pick your item up at the store so that you dont have to pay any shipping.

Lowes'
Before you buy that next big item at Lowe's check the other stores in the area. Often times Lowe's will sell items for cheaper prices in certain areas. I dont know why they do this but I know that often times the Lowe's at the Waterfront is cheaper than the one in Monroeville. You can do this by going to their website and typing in the zipcodes of the stores you want to check. That way you know you arent paying more for it at a different store. 

Tickets to Concerts, Sporting Events, etc

So many people ask me how I always find good seats to various concerts and sporting events so I figured I would share my tips with you.

1. Dont buy tickets through the presale. The venues always push the worst seats through the presale just to make sure they sell them. If you must buy them right away, wait for the public on sale.
2. If the band you like has a fan club then go to their website and pay to be a member. Members usually get the best seats. Note: Dont waste your cash to join the Dave Matthews fan club. They hardly ever give out good seats and I think you have to be a member for years to get the good ones anyway.
3. If at all possible wait until 2 weeks to the day of the event to buy tickets. Ticketmaster holds back tickets for family/friends of the artists and also for ticket brokers. So if those tickets dont sell or if the family/friends decide not to attend, ticketmaster will release the tickets. I have waited to buy tickets for almost every show for the past 10 years and it always works. I have been able to get front row at least 4 times by doing this. The trick is to check ticketmaster several times a day at random times. Also you will want to check ticketmaster with 2 browsers such as IE and Firefox that way you can have more leverage on where you want to sit.
4. Check the broker sites before buying. Various sites such as Stubhub.com, ticketzoom.com, stubsearch.com will drop the price of a ticket before the event.  You could end up buying a ticket cheaper from a broker than using actual ticketmaster. Many times the broker just wants to get rid of the tickets. I bought 2 Igloo tickets to Bon Jovi a few years ago and they cost me $50 through a broker on the day of the show. Ticketmaster was charging $150 for the same seat.
5. Try looking on ebay or craigslist for tickets. Many times I find the best seats on ebay. Just make sure to check the feedback for the seller as well as the date they registered on ebay. Only use paypal to buy the tickets that way you are insured incase a seller screws you over. Also dont be afraid to email the seller and see if they will take less for the tickets. I have been able to get tickets for $100 cheaper that way.
If you are using craigslist make sure you dont ever send money through western union. That is 100% always a scam! The best way is to encourage the seller to use paypal that way you are covered. I prefer to personally meet the person with cash. If I have any doubt about the tickets, I would have the seller meet me at the venue box office for verification.
6. If your favorite band/artist is on facebook make sure to add them. Many times they will post deals about various shows and info about upcoming shows before the public knows about it. Also sign up for the actual artist webpage and lastly go to the venue website and sign up for email alerts as well.
7. Check the message boards. I have often found good seats by checking the artists message boards. Many times fans who cant attend a show for various reasons just want to sell the tickets to another fan. I was able to get tickets to see Sheryl Crow/ John Mayer for face value a few years ago from a Sheryl Crow fan. The tickets were 2nd row but ended up being front row because security let us stand at the front of the stage.
